CHEMISTRY!!!

Hello all, I just wanted to let you know that the next chapter begins a wonderful in depth look at the world of atoms, molecules, and ions. It is a big stretch until Christmas break, but also tons of fun! We will look at what makes up our world at the smallest level we can obeserve. At the beginning of this chapter, we will discuss a project that allow you to get closer to an element on the periodic table. There will also be several demonstrations in class that I always look forward to doing along with several laboratories. Be ready to study hard and have fun!!!

Just for the Weekend!!!

Just to remind you that there is just a little bit of preparation homework for the weekend. All homework is usually posted on the right side of the page under daily homework. This weekend you are just to look over and have a parent sign the laboratory safety contract. There will be a small spoken quiz in class on monday on the safety sheet. Also, you need to draw and design a picture for your science notebook I will give you on Monday. Use a blank white printing paper and draw something that is about physical science. If you need to use a picture from the book that is fine, but remember NO animals or cells, just physical science. Make sure you incorporate your name into the drawing. Have a great weekend!!!

It is Time to Learn Science!!!

Hello 8th Graders!!! I wanted to welcome all of you back to school. I know this is going to a great year and we are going to have lots of fun learning about the wonderful world that has been created for us to explore. Science has been a passion of mine since I was in Junior High and I am looking forward to teaching all of you about how our world works. From atoms to the entire universe, we are going to study about it!!!
